Party Wave
At Talking Threads we believe in sharing shreds. Riding the same wave of sustainability while rolling out in unique personal style.
That’s what secondhand shopping is all about. Join the party wave on land and sea to keep on dancing down the line.
———-
In surfing, party waves are when more than one person rides the same wave. Each rider often demonstrates their very own distinctive style as they move & groove on the board. It’s quite a site to see & an ecstatic moment be a part of.We wanted to create a movement toward sustainability just the same. Secondhand shopping gives us the freedom of individuality while moving toward a longer lineup for a fashionable future.
Paddle to the Party Wave!

How does the thrift/rework community have anything to do with this? This is simply where project meets passion. We see so much pile-up in and out of the secondhand scene..but the downfall of fast fashion isn't always easily noticed.
As seaside-livers and ocean-lovers we are very aware and worried about what we are seeing in and around the water. No, not the sharks..sharks are supposed to be in the big blue, they keep the oceanic ecosystem in line. What's scarier is the trash, plastics and pollutants that we see floating around and that is out of line. It is so important to keep the beaches clean and it is all of our responsibility!
Pack in, pack out...a similar mentality we should have when we shop.

Slow Fashion
We hate to throw shame around here but SHAME on the current fast fashion industry. With the over-consumption of forever changing trends to keep up with and heaps of chemicals polluting in the process, we say, "to HECK with it."
The next best sweater is right around the corner at your local vintage store waiting to keep you warm. What's cooler, or warmer is the way in which it was made; crafted to last and not mass-produced. Slow fashion is the epitome of sustainability...life in the right lane allows you to keep up with yourself..who are you trying to follow?
We hope you think SECONDHAND FIRST!
